Individuals have between 500 and 1000 different species of bacteria which live in their stomachs. Prime Discoveries has built a test and an artificial intelligence network which is capable of determining which gut bacteria cause specific diseases and specific disease progressions. It can also indicate which treatments to use and in what quantities, and it has the potential to enable pharmaceutical companies to develop individually targeted and personalized disease treatments.
The Prime Discoveries database already contains over 200,000 human samples. It is the only such system currently in existence. The company has already signed customer contracts of over $100 million each with half of the pharmaceutical companies in the space; the others have expressed in interest in signing similar contracts.
